Genoscreen

Genoscreen develops and performs innovative services activities in genomics for laboratories working on all kind of genomes (human, animal, plant and micro-organisms).

Since 2001, Genoscreen develops and performs innovative genomic services activities to answer the needs of lifesciences research laboratories (DNA, RNA and genomes sequencing, molecular markers genotyping, bioinformatics). The company contributes increasingly to the engineering and realization of many research projects led by academic and industrial teams.

Genoscreen works on all kind of genomes (human, animal, plant and micro-organisms), which allows it to consider the broader fields of applications for the technologies it proposes: human health, agriculture, agro-food, environment, but also pharmaceuticals and other biotechnologies companies.

Genoscreen’s research programs, conducted in partnership with research teams of the Institut Pasteur de Lille, the INSERM and the INRA, enable to develop new applications in highly competitive fields such as the genetics of Alzheimer's disease, the molecular typing of micro-organisms and the monitoring of biodiversity.Lille has a strategic position: as the first industrial region of France and the first European university hospital complex, the city's economic dynamism is reinforced by the presence of many clusters, especially in the field of biology by the Nutrition - Health -Longevity cluster. The Institut Pasteur de Lille, the campus we are located on, allows Genoscreen to be in constant interaction with a network of scientific expertise and advanced technology.

ManRos

ManRos Therapeutics is a development-stage pharmaceutical company engaged in the discovery and development of small molecule drugs against severe pathologies, namely solid tumors, leukemia, neurodegenerative disorders (Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases), or some renal diseases (including Polycystic Kidney Disease).

ManRos Therapeutics was founded by Dr. Laurent Meijer and Pr. Hervé Galons. Over the past decades, Dr. Laurent Meijer has gathered a deep knowledge of the cell division cycle mechanisms. This fundamental research led him to the identification and extensive characterization of several classes of regulators, mostly protein kinases.

Together with various chemists throughout the world, he identified and characterized several pharmacological families of protein kinases inhibitors, including olomoucine, R-roscovitine, purvalanol, indirubins, paullones, hymenialdisine, meriolins, etc... Among these, R-roscovitine (or seliciclib) is currently undergoing phase II clinical trials against lung and nasopharyngeal cancers in the USA.
